IPDE is a credential institution for the ITAC – Information Technology Area Committee, linked to the Ministry of Science and Technology, to play activities of R&D according to Brazilian Informatics Law, n° 8.248/91, modified by Law nº 10.664/2003.

 It is also a Certification Organism assigned by Anatel, besides being a cultural agent registered in the Culture Secretary´s Office of the Distrito Federal. IPDE is an Entity of Digital Inclusion linked to the Informatics Democratization Committee and a Technological Enterprise Incubadora.
